Unfortunately, our building has not been completely built without barriers. Wheelchair users can access the old building via ramps and lifts, but the new building is only partly accessible without accompanying persons.

The Lehmbruck Museum unfortunately does not offer induction loops for deaf people or people hard of hearing, and we have no Braille signage of the objects – however, guide-dogs are welcomed into our museum. You can also book tours in sign language and haptic tours to experience our collection. If you need further information about this or about barrier freedom, please contact the art education department.

Despite, and indeed because of these limitations, we are consistently working to improve access to our museum. We are always grateful for suggestions on improvements. Please contact us, or contact our art education department.
