Friends of the Museum
The Lehmbruck Museum, a lively location between the Rhine and Ruhr in the centre of Duisburg, offers scope for individual discoveries and for getting to know arts and architecture, and presents exciting challenges for all senses. Friends and supporters in the past 100 years, since the foundation of the Freundeskreis (circle of friends), have enabled impressively successful exhibitions, purchases for the collection and various accompanying events, and the circle of friends also supports the scientific and educational work of the Museum.
The creation and success of projects today depend more than ever upon people who actively support this work. Not only can you, as a member, take part in the active cultural life of the Lehmbruck Museum but you are also offered many benefits, for example reduced entry fees all year round, invitations to openings, a diverse programme with exclusive events such as studio, exhibition and city tours both in Germany and internationally, as well as a 10% discount in the museum shop.
In addition, the friends of the Lehmbruck Museum also donate the August Seeling Prize at regular intervals for pioneering international sculptors. This award, together with an exhibition and the purchase of a work of the sculptor, strengthens the international alignment of the Museum.
