Getting here

The Lehmbruck Museum lies in the centre of the city in the Kant-Park (500 m on foot from the main railway station), and can be reached with all public transport operating in the inner city (“Lehmbruck Museum” stop). Thanks to its central location, the Lehmbruck Museum can also be reached quickly and easily when travelling by train. German Railway trains operate several times each hour from the Düsseldorf airport for example, and travel time to the Duisburg main railway station from there is eight minutes.

You can reach the museum via car with the A3 (Cologne-Oberhausen), the A40 (Venlo-Dortmund) or the A59 (Dinslaken-Duisburg). Please note that the museum has no own parking places, but many parking places can be found in Düsseldorfer Straße nearby.

Coming from the A3, take the Duisburg-Wedau exit and then turn onto Koloniestraße (L60) in the direction of Duisburg-Wedau. After you have passed under the train route, at the end of Koloniestraße turn left onto Mercatorstraße and then turn into Düsseldorfer Straße at the first traffic lights on the right. The museum is found after around 500 metres on the right-hand side.

Leave the A40 at the “Autobahnkreuz Duisburg” junction and from there follow the A59 in the direction of Düsseldorf. On the A59, take the “Duisburg-Zentrum” exit and turn left into Mercatorstraße. At the first traffic lights turn right into Düsseldorfer Straße, and the museum is found after around 500 metres on the right-hand side.
